Meeting Details:
★1:00 PM – For those who can wear kimono independently, meet inside the Missouri Botanical Garden entrance- in front of information desk.
This time, there will be no lunch session—we will focus on taking photos with cherry blossoms and other flowers. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch or join us at the café in the Botanical Garden afterward.
★10:00 AM – For those who would like to attend workshop how to wear kimono, needing help wearing kimono or renting a kimono and other items, a special arrangement must be made in advance. We will do traditional Otaiko Obi in this workshop.
The exact meeting time and location depends on the number of participants and will be sent individually. So please let me know in advanced.
Kimono rentals start at $20, with accessories or obi available from $3. A rent-to-buy option is also available.

Dressing Room & Venue Support Needed:
One of our BoDs members has kindly offered her home near Garden as a dressing space. However, if anyone knows of an affordable rental space or an organization such a church, school, office or business space for weekend, willing to collaborate and provide a room for dressing and workshops in St. Louis, please reach out!

What is Kimono Club?
Kimono Club is a monthly gathering where we wear kimono, take beautiful photos with St. Louis famous monuments, and enjoy cultural experiences over lunch or at a café. Each month will have a unique theme reflecting seasonal or cultural significance.
Membership:
$30 annual fee for the Japanese Institute of St. Louis (JIO STL) (Membership starts in April)
Membership is not necessary if you bring your own kimono and do not attend kimono wearing workshop at 10am.
Attending Kimono club only without workshop is always free.
